She dedicatedly offers cancer patients all kinds of services from counseling to fundraising. Every year the medical social work department conducts cancer-related activities for the patients and their relatives. The Medical Social Work (MSW) Department works closely with Ruby Hall Clinic’s team of health care professionals to ensure high-quality care for patients and their families. Facing the diagnosis of Cancer itself is traumatising for patients and their families. Most of the time patients are in denial. Thus apart from the treatment, most patients need moral support and financial help. Keeping this in mind, the centre has incorporated medical and psychiatric social workers in their team.
As per need assessment study analysis by Oncology Social Workers and with the help from Cancer center we have inaugurated Family support group for cancer patients and their relatives. We also promote rehabilitation activity for oral cancer patients who are undergoing Radiotherapy for over one and a half month. They need information about oral hygiene and in that view, every month, we plan sessions about Oral hygiene, Diet, and Physiotherapy.
