Dr. Pooja Padmanaban is a breast surgeon, exclusively specialized in the management of benign and malignant diseases of the breast. After completing her MBBS from Pune, she did her DNB in General Surgery from Mumbai, following which she has completed a certified fellowship in breast Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and worked there for about 5 years. Her total experience in the field of Breast Surgery is over 7 years. Her areas of interest include breast conservation surgery, oncoplasty, sentinel node biopsy, image guided (ultrasound/ mammogram) procedures and partial breast reconstructions.
Recently she has been awarded the prestigious European Board of Surgical Qualifications in Breast Surgery at Amsterdam,the Netherlands. She has actively participated in a number of trials and ongoing research projects at Tata Memorial Centre. She has made a number of national as well as international presentations and has also contributed multiple sections in the breast Cancer chapter of an upcoming national oncosurgery textbook.
